Always an amazing experience! Consistently the best sushi, fresh tasting fish, nice clean environment and a great staff! Everyone is so kind, I'm always excited to return! I've tried so much like rainbow rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, sweet potato, shrimp shumai, gyoza, bento boxes, ramen, philly roll, target roll, spicy kani salad, dynamite roll (my absolute favorite - not sure if the name changed) and the list goes on. I would give it all a 10/10. Always delicious!

This was my second time here, and the food, service and ambience are worth the visit. The place was busy, but they were able to promptly accommodate our party of five. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. After seated, we were pleasantly surprised by the offer of a delicious seared salmon sushi to start off with which we enjoyed. Our food came out right away, all of which were great in presentation and taste. To end the evening, we were also given some yummy ice cream dessert (which I totally forgot to take a picture of). Definitely a great sushi spot that I recommend others to try out if you're in the area.

The floor space is really small but it is also a very busy restaurant with many take outs and people constantly coming in and out. The service was pretty good although it did take a little for someone to notice we walked in. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful with our order although I'd say her thought of two people portions was bigger than what it actually was. My friend and I got the two special rolls and a sushi deluxe which came with an option of miso soup or salad per person. Overall, the sushi was pretty decent but the rice was meh. A bit too hardened in my opinion. They gave us a special set of seared sushi complimentary by the sushi chef and asked if we wanted ice cream for dessert on the house. The service was great and the overall experience was good. BTW. Saw people BYOB for all you drinkers! (:

I like that there's always parking and I don't have to make reservations. The service is great and the sushi is delicious. I think the sashimi is a bit thick, I prefer the sushi nigiri. Rolls are yummy too!

Very nice waitresses. Very clean restaurant. Nice sized portion sizes. They gave us a complimentary seared salmon to begin the meal. I don't often eat cooked salmon, but it was very tasty! They also gave us a complimentary waffle ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was a nice little treat. I'll return. I had crab specialty rolls this time which were a nice size and nicely plated krab. But next time I want to try the regular rolls. I didn't see any sashimi rolls being served, but there were some regulars next to us that had sushi that looked nice and thick.

With the amount of money I've spent here, I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet! Sushi Story is my #1 go to for sushi in the Bergen County Area. I've dined in and ordered take out multiple times and their rolls just hit the spot EVERY. TIME. THEY DO NOT MISS. Why does their sushi stand out? Every ingredient is incredibly fresh and high quality. Everything is bursting with flavor! The rolls have the perfect ratio of rice to fish. The best part is they do NOT skimp out on the amount of fish they put in the rolls. I have so many more rolls to try but I'm a creature of habit... so once I like something I always order it. These are my personal favorites: -River Roll - I highly recommend for spicy salmon and spicy tuna lovers. -Phila Dragon Roll - This is a Philly roll with eel topped with avocado. -Spicy Salmon Roll - MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! They use giant chunks of salmon! -Shrimp Tempura Roll - Soooo good. I can't get over how crispy the tempura is! -Tuna Tataki Appetizer - Seared tuna with a citrus-y soy sauce... one of the best things I've ever eaten! They have many more menu items such as sushi boats, salads, bento boxes, sashimi, nigiri, ramen, rice bowls, etc. They also offer catering. Prices are up to par with the current market. ~$7-$9 for regular rolls and ~$14-$18 for special rolls. I highly recommend getting their lunch specials because they're a great bang for your buck. My favorite is the 3 Regular Rolls special for $18 (comes with free side of miso soup or salad). I usually order take out because the restaurant is very small and is constantly busy. It can be a bit hard to get a table but you'll be able to put your name + phone number down so they can call you when it's available. The owner and staff are always friendly and efficient! P.S. If you dine in, they offer a complimentary dessert! It's a mini ice cream waffle (green tea, chocolate, or vanilla) with sprinkles and whipped cream.

This restaurant is always my husband's and I's go to when we visit his parents in New Milford. The sushi quality is great for the price and unassuming location. Service is fast and the music choice is amazing. It feels more upscale than a small strip mall restaurant. Their salmon, yellowtail, and tuna are especially great quality and delicious. I will say that the octopus and squid are not the best. They are tough and chewy, but it is included in the Boat B combo which is a good deal for the amount you get. The scallop dynamite roll is also very filling and delicious. Honestly, all the special rolls I have had here have been delicious! You really can't go wrong. They even cater!

I can see this becoming my go-to sushi spot. Reasonable prices, especially if you go with a lunch special, and fresh tasting fish. I had the jaeyook box and the flower special roll. Wasn't too busy Sunday afternoon so it was relaxing to be there and the service was very attentive.

Ever since the first time I ate here, Sushi Story easily earned the top spot in my heart of favorite places to eat. The sushi here is SO good and very high-quality. Honestly better than some sushi I have had at fancier places. I've order different things from the menu across my various visits but these top the list for me: Appetizers: *The Cupcake-- a great balance of spicy and freshness from the avocado. (Note: I find this similar to the New Milford Roll so something to consider if you plan on getting the New Milford Roll) *Tuna Tataki-- OMG THIS IS A MUST ORDER. One of my favorite dishes of ALL time. It just melts in your mouth and the seasoning is so flavorful. Rolls: *The New Milford Roll-- you're in New Milford, you just have to get this! I love the mix of freshness from the avocado and crunch from the topping *Fire Roll-- never had sushi baked before but boy did this change my life! The added smokiness to the sushi is AH. MA.ZING. Another thing I love about this place is they give you FREE (yes u heard me right!!) ice cream at the end of your meal. And occasionally they may give you a free sample of something from their menu to try out. It's the little things that make this place so special :') Don't let the small place deceive you-- this place is such a hidden gem, which is why I love it so much. Sushi Story, you have my heart forever and ever!!
